Some interesting points regarding localisation for FOSS ERP solutions
were raised in the previous topic on the thread.
If anybody is interested in playing around with OpenERP and addressing
some of the issues (summarised below) , I have a deployment running on
my home server:

Just to note - I am experiencing a small bug in the reverse proxy, so if
any menu item seems stuck or the page just goes white - hit the browser
refresh.
Issues:
-Tie in with ROS
-General support for VAT
-Support for the "accrual" and "cash-accounting" VAT schemes
-Where needed, for the accrual scheme on purchases, and "cash
accounting" on sales
-Suitable GL accounts and report layouts.
What I know about accounting is more than dangerous, so I am unable to
even ask the correct questions, but I do have an interest in OpenERP's
suitability for the Irish market.
