[ILUG] Printer woes

[ILUG] Printer woes

I have a network printer - Brother Laser Colour. It has been working for
several years but recently a few problems. A few days ago magenta powder
was all over the inside of the printer - we cleaned it up and it seemed
to work for a day. Now - nothing. I can send print jobs and they either
push out a sheet of blank paper or the data light flashes and nothing
happens at all.

I have tried various print drivers, including the one supplied by
Brother and several on the cups system - any ideas? Is it a problem with
our print driver or is the machine just dead?

Thanks

Kevin.
