Perfect,
It has now been successfully updated using my linux (RHEL6) laptop,
and a bit of faffing about with the flasher. I though it had done
nothing and then I checked the console after disconnecting the phone,
and saw the message - success... the phone itself told me none of
this!
The update seems to have improved things immensely,
