There will be an EGM of Linux Enthusiasts West Dublin tomorrow night, June 14, starting between 8 and 9 in honour of the visit of Liam and Ann to these parts. Yes, I know there's a football match going on at the time - I hope it won't disturb us too much.
According to the, as yet unwritten, regulations of LEWD the last person to arrive after 9pm buys a round. Membership is open to anyone who has significant ties to the West-Dublin area, such as birth, residence (e.g. in the area, or even just the named pub, on the appropriate evening); and on various other grounds (see regulations).
The Lord Lucan is a pub (probably no surprise to anybody) which is located on the Newcastle Road in Lucan, quite near to Adamstown. The pub has a website at http://www.lordlucanpub.com but that doesn't deign to provide a map, so http://lordlucanpub.notlong.com might help. Public transport from town would be the 25A bus to the Lucan terminus, or the 25B bus to the Adamstown terminus.
