Count me in. I agree when you say there is alot to discuss..however I've found most of the discussion is about political sides to linux which I are important but we should also focus on what it can do .. (like for example act as a firewall or whatever) and talk about that aswell. 
An interesting one would be security or securing linux including how break ins are actually carried out.
