[MLUG] Don't suffer it, change it (MiLUG Meetings)

Hi Folks
I know it's the silly season and all but there was a dire turnout the last time, so if you're not on hols (I know some are) there is some important stuff to deal with like the e-voting moves we were discussing, the open-day/installfest in Athlone and whatever you're having yourselves.
It isn't realistic to expect me or anyone else to mindread, never mind predict who will attend, or what they are likely to want to bring away from the meetings so if ANYONE has ANY items for the agenda (from a personal 'I cant...' to a generic 'why dont we...') PLEASE mail the list in advance so that someone who's in a position to help can make that help available for the next meeting.
Whatever you do, don't just draw back and grumble, because none of us are professional meeting organisers or mindreaders.
If you're looking for a particular solution, information or software, PLEASE make this info available in advance so your problems have some means of being addressed by someone who'se attending. This is NOT MY group, it's YOURS, but I can only facilitate what I can reasonably predict.
I've attended both Guadec and LinuxUser Expo since I saw most of you, so there's LOADS of news, and interesting info.
About out E-Voting reservations/objections to the present proposals, I've spoken at Guadec ( http://www.guadec.org/ ) on the subject at a Q&A and also met Jason Kitcat ( http://www.freeproject.org/ ) as well as receiving contact from the Free Software Movement in Ireland ( http://mail.fsfeurope.org/pipermail/fsfe-ie ).
Either we make this group work, or Mr. Gates will be made very happy indeed.
Let's see now...
Mel
