[MLUG] Before the meeting this coming Friday

[MLUG] Before the meeting this coming Friday

Hi All

Hope as many as possible can come this Friday. I'll fill you in on GUaDEC (Trinity College) and LinuxUserExpo in the NEC in Birmingham. I was talking to Jason Kitcat ( http://www.free-project.org/ ) in Birmimgham about our LUG campaign against the current proposed implementation of E-Voting in Ireland. He has offered to be of any assistance he can.
FYI -Jason wrote an E-voting system with sweet fa help including GNU and is probably the most knowledgeable person on the subject that we can find. He also drew my attention to the site at DCU http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~afrodite/E-Voting/ which I reckon we should check out and support rather than begin a new campaign to do the same thing.

I'd love if someone had a chance to check out Morphix (customisable knoppix) before the next meeting) -wishful thinking but I'll try it right now and send this later.
rgds
Mel
