On Friday next the 21st of November 2003 Tuxenergy a West Cork based
Linux start-up will announce their plans for a new Irish Linux
distribution in conjunction with MandrakeSoft SA. MandrakeSoft SA's CEO
Fran=C3=A7ois Bancilhon will hold a joint press conference with Tuxenergy's
Chairman and Managing Director at 11 am in the Imperial Hotel in Cork
City.=20
MandrakeSoft SA based in Paris France is the leading Linux desktop
distribution worldwide. Founded in 1998 Mandrake is already installed on
almost 4 million desktop computers.
Tuxenergy based in Castletownshend Co Cork was founded in 2003 with a
mission of bringing Linux to the Irish market. The company currently has
three employees and hopes to expand to 10 employees inside 18 months.
