[MLUG] Linux in Widescreen

Did you get the widescreen in Linux to work.  I have the same labtop and have been trying to get it to work.  I can get linux to run fine at 1024x768 and it will strech the display to fit the full screen but i am trying to get it to run at 1440x900.  I am running SuSE 9.0.  just wondering if you found out how to get it to work.
