[MLUG] AntiVirus for Linux

[MLUG] AntiVirus for Linux

Hi Sean

>From the earlier SuSEs I started out with (6.4/7.x) their blurb "beginners guide"
had this on their FAQ, with an answer of something like: You don't need it.
 SuSE doesn't run Windows viruses.

The caveats I suppose are that if you're using something like Java, you are
still vulnerable to Java platform viruses and malware. Other than that, your
antivirus would only be for the benefit of M$ users you forward emails to!

If you must, check out Clam http://www.clamav.net/ and pass on the news to your
enslaved friends!

Hope that helps
Mel
