There are days when I can't even max out my old 2400 bps modem (thing is
it'll do Fax at 9600 (go figure !)

Oh for a 300bps modem that has an acoustic coupler (remember those) ??

Actually the phone scene near the end saw our heros connected with no
problems (speed or otherwise) over public phones audio-linked to other
phones - now I wish I could do that one ... I want those modems !
