I might as well join in then:
On my desk I have:
a Dell 17" monitor
a Dell keyboard
a Microsoft Intellimouse
a set of speakers.
a Redhat 5.2 box
a box that originally contained a power supply for a Nokia 1610 which now
holds floppy discs.
a half empty minituare bottle of Jameson's.
a 9 pin to 9pin cable which is closed in itself.
a pile of someone else's books (which include Advanced Perl Programming
and Steven's book on UNIX programming).
Another pile containing a spare keyboard, two more technical books, an
empty coffee cup tray, yesterday's paper and an open Filofax.
An in tray containing various bits of paper I don't want, a copy of the
first edition of the Camel book and the charger for the aforementioned
and a copy of DNS and Bind which is sitting right beside my keyboard with
my chocolate on top of it.
