Feck it out, svgalib is a real piece of shite. My recommendation is to
go to scitech.com (may be wrong about this URL but you know who I mean),
and download Scitech Display Doctor for Linux; 30-day eval, and a VERY
solid version of SVGAlib. Worth the $40 or so. I now get less crashes in
Action q2 than my Windoze-using cow-orkers,
