[ILUG-Social] Banks again.

[ILUG-Social] Banks again.

I'd watch out if Ulster bank are in any way affiliated with National
Westminster Bank in the UK. I used to have an account with National
Westminster, and they are not a very understanding bank. (And when you are a
student, you need an understanding bank!)

As a result of this, I tend to avoid anything associated with them like the
plague. Also, if they are affiliated, it won't be long before Ulster Bank
start charging for the use of other Bank's ATM's. This has just been put
through in the UK, so it looks like we can probably all lokk forward to it.
(It is standard practice in the USA and most of Europe now, so it won't be
long!)

Out of curiosity I rang all the banks this morning.. Ulster Bank seemed to
be
the best, for a personal current account.. and I quote "If the account is
in
credit there are no charges", I forgot to ask how much cheques cost..

There's more to life than computers. Allegedly.
