 Depends on the model, and it always invalidates the warranttee, if it's a
"hardware solution". They vary from "Type these ten digits in at the boot
screen, and it's deregioned for ever" (like my Tatung I got from
online.ie) to a roller wheel with region numbers on it, that you have to
roll it around depending on the region of the disk.

 Richer Sounds in dublin will deregion most players for an extra £100 if
you buy it from them, and will give you a warantee too...(as the
manufacturer won't touch it).
