Clarion Stephens Hall in Leason St, is probably a good bet, it is an 
all suite hotel which is quite reasonably priced. I don't have the 
number handy but it is where we put all of our vistors.

There's a side-street (can't remember the name) opposite Jurys Inn
Christchurch with two hotels on it, Hardings and "George Frederic
Handel".  They usually have a room free, and Hardings at least is good
value generally.
