#Programming Perl is the bible (Perl's K & R, if you like. I
#learnt C from K & R but I'd hate to try to learn Perl from Programming
#Perl). The Perl Cookbook is an excellent "dipping into" book for ideas when
#you know the language.
I tried to learn Perl from Programming Perl, but had to go back and get
Learning Perl as well - Programming just seemed to skip over some
of the rudiments that I had to have spelled out clear as a Dublin day
[not crystal clear but clear enough to see the back of the bus
before you cycle into it]. Cookbook is very useful, you can read it at
any stage , no bother.
