There is, indeed.
Sean's farewell was indeed graceless at best -- and actively insulting
to the Irish Linux community in its unsupported assertion of
anti-American sentiment. (When I was last in Ireland, I found
hospitality just about everywhere.)
As several commented, things are tough just about everywhere. I'm
sympathetic with everyone who's encountering the tough job market,
not just in Silicon Valley where I live and [crosses fingers] still
work. Especially sysadmins.
It's a sad situation for everyone. I hope people will be slow to
respond out of anger.
