however, the main ingredient in cheesecake (the no-bake version) is cream
cheese which was invented by an american trying to copy a french cheese:

and besides think of it this way - try to make a no-bake cheesecake
using the technology of greece, 700BC. that lack of a fridge thing
really gets in the way. of course a feta-cheesecake is a rather
frightening thought...
