Western Digital drives don't fully implement some of the error checking 
protocols of the ATA specs so if you're using the md/RAID/LVM stuff there's 
room for data corruption.  Quantum/Maxtor have probably the best bang for 
the buck if you don't want to pay for IBM or Seagate.
