[ILUG-Social] Wireless Proximity thingy

[ILUG-Social] Wireless Proximity thingy

Howdy,
remember there was someone looking for a wireless proximity device.
well, there is one here http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/things/341d.html
but its a bit expensive ($170)

you could use the deadbolt broadcast signal to trigger your mail
downloading to begin. or you could just hack something up that does the
same job. maybe a garage door type system, and replace the door opening
mech. with a solenoid which triggers the door oppening. copy that signal,
and use it also as a trigger for your mail d/l'ing.

open your front door AND get your mail, all in 1!
