Finally got my Palm Pilot online thanks to some help from the other CLUG
guys last Thursday :)
Owen Kelly got his 6210 dialling Indigo over 087 using their high speed
stuff (HDLC?) but with a special init string. If you've got a "16k" SIM,
and told Eircell you want the high speed connection you might have to
use the following init string for the phone to conenct at 28.8
AT +CBST=0,0,1;+CHSN=4,0,0,0;
But now on the lookout for different browsers and email clients.
I found various references to "proxyweb" but their site is down, does
anyone have a url to a zip file?
Any recommendations on pop/smtp clients? I have the GNU Gotmail and
mail+ apps..
Being able to ssh into the work machines is handy though the text on
lynx is a bit hard to read!
Donncha.
