[ILUG-Social] A suggestion involving dogs...

The thread on naming dogs on ILUG gave me a small idea.
The story is that my Dad is breeding greyhounds, and we have just had a
litter of pups (well 15 weeks ago actually), and we are trying to find owners.

Now my suggestion is as follows, please tell me to go away if this does does not agree with
anyone...

Would anybody be interested in setting up an Ilug greyhound syndicate, where a number of
peoples in Ilug all chip in a certain sum for the once off purchase of the dog, and then
contribute to the day to day maintainance of the animal?
My father could keep the dog, and train it as is required or other arrangements could be made.

I'm not sure how what the cost implications would be, but if there are a some people interested, I could
ask my Dad to figure out prices. Could be an interesting way to meet up and organise social outings ;-)

Let me know if there is any interest.

Cheers,

Richard

p.s. We have four bitches up for grabs
