VoiceStream has just launched a service in the US called "istream"
described at
http://www.voicestream.com/products/services/istream/overview.asp
It's a data network, in fact. Is Eircom going to sue them because it's
a trademark in Ireland or the EU?
Or how about Arctic Software, who have an MP3 streaming server for the
Mac called "iStream":
http://www.arcticsw.com/istream/
Or the company Istream Systems at:
http://www.istreamtv.com/istream_systems.htm
The list goes on.
If the domain receiving istream at foo.com is housed outside Ireland, does
Eircom have any international legal right to argue it be removed? If I
create istream at zen.org, can they argue that the domain's not in Ireland
but I am, so therefore they have a legal right?
I seriously doubt it.
