Well, problem is that you live in a country that will take care of you if
you are sick or injured. If you go around making yourself sick or injured,
or less able to support this society, that's detrimental to people's well
being as a whole.
So, they get a load of people to decide what's good, and what's bad for
society. They are called laws.
Problem being, that tobacco & alcohol do nearly as much damage as
cannabis, and because they have been around for hundreds/thousands of
years, they are acceptable.
It should be pointed out that your argument would be much better directed
at your local TD, rather than us. They can make a difference in Law. We
can't.
