[ILUG-Social] new emacs features...

ok, still on holiday, but i came across this on last week's lwn.
i've still got my linux.ie subscriptions suspended so pardon if this
has already been covered. i've been a bit netless for the past week.
anyway, the quote:

A new "woman" mode exists which can format up man pages without
having to resort to external programs. There is also a new shell
mode that has no need for an actual shell. A compile mode with its
own built-in compiler has not yet been implemented, however.

i wonder if that would count as a minor or major number change.

oh wait, i have the tv on in the background, and george bush just said
(in a speech to schoolchildren) that "they're the first generation of
americans to experience a war in america." i suppose sherman in atlanta
and the british in washington d.c. were just cases of arson?

grumble...

kevin
