If you don't mind waiting till 8, the Viper Room on the quays is dead quiet,
and has live music toward the end of the evening. Makes a nice change to
actually be able to hear someone speak.

What's mess'rs like early in the week? 'cos there's lots of it.

There's a nice lesser-known downstairs in Larry Murphy's, Baggot st. that's
not 
even overcrowded on Fridays, if that's "central" enough for us. Not sure if 
it's open earlier in the week. I'll find out. They'll put on sandwiches if 
we're interested.
