[Wrong - We weren't last year, nor for every year we were in the EU. I
don't think we'll be this year, though I do know that we were due to
move to be a contributor by 2003 or so - I don't know how much these
forcasts depended on continuing massive levels of growth though.]

Well someone should inform RTE of this fact if it's proves to be true.
Oh and I don't see anyone whinging about the Marshall plan to rebuild die
Germans after they tried and failed 'again' to take over Europe, thus as
much as it pains me to say, wether or not some farmer irking a living from
the limestone of the west gets a sweet deal from the completely
Impreialistic CAP 'which is neo Imperialist in it's attitudes towards
African countries' is irrelevant to me, the South of Italy gets the same
funding, the East of Germany the French farmers, the Porteguese and bottom
line I live in Dublin, if RTE is to be believed and not you then I am in
effect supporting the farmers in the west.

Plus a large part of the 'funding' from the CAP is funding that is paid to
our farmers 'not to produce'. Since when is that funding? In my view it's
not, it if money paid to people so that our argicultural industry does not
pose a threat to other countries who have not got the same kind of agrarian
base. Proof of the pudding is that Ireland has the fifth largest dairy
industry in the world, trust me, no one on this earth will pay out money to
people of the fifth largest dairy producer (think about it) because it's
poor, but to stop it out producing their own indegenous farmers. This is
where the vaunted funding goes, paying Irish farmers not to produce and this
is where the CAP which excludes third world countries from processing their
raw materials and creates so called butter mountains and beef mountains is
the artifice of neo imperialism.

[Gross Deutschland... lol.]

Yeah it's funny because it's true.
