Ok,

correct me if I'm wrong here but if a farmer (or any other form of industry)
gets a bunch of money, would he then sit on his heels not using this money
to invest in his business?? That would seem very odd to me. You are assuming
that people receiving CAP funding will not use it to further his/hers
business, but rather they would go to the pub to have a pint. I'd find that
a tad bit worrying.

On another note, what has this to do with ILUG? I'd say that this wouldn't
even fit ILUG-Social, which I would have put down to being related to things
"not quite fitting for the normal list, but still in the interest of
ILUG'ers". Well, sure it would be interesting, possibly, to an ILUG'er who
lives/works on a farm, and who else? What has the CAP funding scheme to do
with your subject line? What happened to the original "privacy legislation"
thing?

I myself am not subscribed to ILUG, but am still on ILUG-Social. I'm
wondering why... Hundred of people are receiving this. Is this really
something you believe most of these people would be interested in? Is it
suitable to have this on any of ILUG's lists? Myself, I'd consider this
being OT for even ILUG-Social. Why? It has nothing to do with Linux,
ILUG'ers, POTD, or even computers in general. Don't get me wrong, I don't
mind the off hand mailing here, but major discussions about something
completely and utterly non-associative topic, going on and on and on..... No
thanks. If I wanted to know the size of the latest planet found, I'd check
the appropriate sources, not ILUG.... If I'd been interested in the latest
conspiracy theory of Germany wanting World Domination, I'd check their News
sites.... If I wanted to know about UFO's, I'd google for that...... What
all of this is doing here, I don't know.... Don't care even.... keep it off,
please...

OR, at least, show us some facts (real fact, not you saying it is a fact)
that what you claim is true. What CAP funding goes to keeping farmers "not
to produce"? And how would that be enforced? HOW are Germany now trying to
get to World Dominance?
