[Tip: If somebody disputes a fact in a point you're making, look the fact
up on the web if possible. It really wasn't hard to find out what the
story was.]

Brian I used to mod a forum, so please don't presume the arrogance nor
condencention that you have some sort of illucidated jaundiced recptacle of
light when it comes to deciding what is right and what is wrong vis-a-vis
using or not using in conversation nor non-scientific debate references of
information.

It is a matter of public record what was said on the news and if you dispute
it go and look for yourself the transcriptions can probably be obtained from
RTE, and unfortunately for your sense of importance in the grand scheme of
things I don't have the time to go chasing down the exact quote on the web
to satisfy your lust to troll this topic, sorry maybe later when I feel a
maddening desire to prove my point.

However since you have made such an issue out of it I will cc RTE on this
point and ask quite nicely if they could provide some information based on
my claim that at one point it had claimed Ireland was a net contributor to
the EU. If this is not an ammicable enough of an arrangement for you then
I'm sorry and tough.

Brian.

[To RTE]

This pertains to you, I wonder if you might furnish some information as to
wether or not the Republic of Ireland has permaturely begun to be a net
contributor to the funding of the EU or if it was in the past the same as it
has been asserted on a mailing list that RTE did in fact in the past make
such an assertion.

At your earlist convienance if you might find a way of confirming or denying
this assertion it would be quite helpful.

Regards
Brian O'Donoghue
