Galway Gaeilgóirs tend (in my limited experience) to not try too
hard with beginners... so it can be very hard. Anyway, step 1
would be to go to Conradh na Gaeilge on Dominic St. (Lower, I
think... the bit up to the Mill), and ask for adult Irish
courses. And drink there, often. They have late hours, and cheap
pints for members. And Irish craic agus Ceoil.
