well, for 8 hours a day of use - 1/3 a day.  so 12 years from the
above number.

well, i find that lcd screens have less flicker, so that's less
eye-strain.  plus they're easier to move to the right angle and height,
so again, less eye (and body) strain.

also, the us epa (poor unloved bastards that they are in this
