[ILUG-SOCIAL] upgrading ipaq DRAM

[ILUG-SOCIAL] upgrading ipaq DRAM

hi,

just wondering if anyone knows of any european companies that will
upgrade iPaq DRAM. I've done a fair bit of googling, and there's quite
a few companies offering the service, but they all appear to be in the
US - i'm not keen on shipping my ipaq to the states.

alternatively, anyone know of any companies with expertise to be able
desolder/solder and hence replace surface mounted chips? from googling
i know which DRAMs the ipaq needs, so i could buy them myself if there
was someone who could do the soldering for me. (i'm not taking the
gunged up old iron i have at home to my ipaq - i've seen what happens
i try to solder things, and its not pretty :) )

/me is cursing himself that he didnt spend the extra 100 euro on the
64MB DRAM version.

regards,
