Wey Hey

CoOl the forums up an running and getting a few posts! Excellent.
Well most of you may know of me and my annoying posts But i believe I have
only met Ken.

I am a web developer \ designer for a telecoms research company in Dublin.
Love apache I go to be with it everynight (SAD) although sometimes we fight
a lot. I am also just getting used to PHP. It's ecelent I think. Check out
devshed.com or else webmonkey for tutorials and hey presto. I actuually
hhave used the code on the webmonkey massively and it is so adaptable. Well
it'll teach you the basics of connectivity to MySQL.

I have released one script so far and I am working on a few it's called
PHP-Broadcast and can be found on freshmeat in anyone is interested. It's
crap actually but I thought it was the bees knees when I done it.

I am quite ok with adobe photoshop so If I can I can help with graphic
questions as well as apache and php and linux w servers although there are
ppl here who know much more that me so I hopw they won't be shy.

MySql is all I know. Well I don't really know it but I know the basics which
is more than enough for most PHP scripts. For everthing else PHPMyAdmin. it
rocks.

Anyhow Any help I can give please let me know. I would like to see a site
going up someday and make it interesting and cool so that we can all learn
and have a good time and actually find something on the net that is not
trying to sell you something.

As far as forum software goes. I've used many many different types over the
years. Matss wwwboard is okay for basic stuff. I think the ILUG are using a
hacked up version of it on their site. wwwthreads is quite cool as well.
Both in perl which I know nothing about but could still set up. Now I'm
using Phorum and I think it's cool. I remeber seeing a hacker version of it
that also had mail support (HOTMAIL type thingy) and a user registration.
Don't ask me were I say it because I lost my Bookmarks a wee while ago.

Anyhow I have ranted a lot so Bye bye I'm off to do some work
Later
Aj
