[Webdev] Image software & Coding (was Re: good idea)

<snip gimp etc>

Gimp is interesting, discussions on maybe using the perl modules for
accessing it and or the api would definately interest me. Actually has
anyone else read the O'Reilly Web Graphics with Perl & GNU software
book? If your doing anysort of dynamic image generation its excellent.
Covers everything from basic file formats through to generating animated
gifs with gimp.

And its definately a way to eliminate excel spreadsheets (I'll dig up
the code, but I did a thing before which interprets some data on bugs,
does some regression analysis on it and then generates some nice graphs.
Never put it into live use though, don't think the people that needed it
understood why they needed it).

l8r,
Fintan
