list like this, and it should be a goody. Linux.ie is fine on content, but
lacking in interface. That doesn't really matter. But a site backing a Webdev
list should be good - very good. Ordinarily, it should have a sweet interface.
But on a list where backend is the main target for discussion, it should also be
heavily dynamic, with source code available (php.net), and example areas to let
users actually see how the site is operated. This is *very* easy to implement -
it just means copying the live system almost verbatim, and setting it up on
separate tables, which can be reset every day.
As to sticking a topic in the subject line, it's a very good idea - I was going
to suggest it myself, but I think it would be hard to implement. That said, if
people do it from the start - or at least use Subject lines correctly, it should
be easy to get the sheep to follow... :)
