Has anyone tried the kernel patch in
http://www.mysql.com/Downloads/Contrib/mysql-bench-0.6.tar.gz
yet?
I've just applied it(hacked it since it didn't apply to my RH6.1 kernel
cleanly) and recompiling the kernel as we speak.
The supplied stats look very impressive: (Pentium III 500, 256 MB RAM,
Linux 2.2.12)
Unpatched kernel:
Avg connect time for 10 clients, 1000 requests was 645
Patched kernel, same load as above: 30
The same load on one of our dev machines, with an unpatched kernel gives
a figure of 257.
Not sure what format the above times are in. I'll note it when I run the
test again..
Donncha.
