Hi,
I'm a 'developer for' rather than 'administrator of' Linux web servers but
I'd just like to poll you others on your use of XML. I don't expect you to
give away any trade secrets - 'though I won't stop you ;) - but would like
to know what you are using XML for and what previously-used technique it has
replaced.
I'm sure that I'm supposed to be using it by now but I don't know *what to
use it for*?! Until then I can't get into it and I'll become steadily more a
part of the past until someone's picking my bones out of the dirt, exploring
the extinction of programmers who failed to adapt to the new order.
Or ... is it a big hoax, introduced to throw these fresh University
graduates off the scent so's we more mature members of the I.T. community
can keep our jobs a bit longer? It's my new motto, "If you can't beat 'em
AND you can't join 'em , then you'd better hope it's a big hoax introduced
to ..."
Looking forward to some inspiration from you folks,
Raith
