[Webdev] Apache down five points in Netcraft survey

[Webdev] Apache down five points in Netcraft survey

Apache has dropped five percent in this months Netcraft Web Server Survey, with
IIS/PWS picking up the slack. This still leaves the Apache Group with a
respectable 54% coverage, 20% up on Microsoft's 34%, but the by now almost
guaranteed monthly losses must be grating to the Group. The reason for the large
discepancy this month, however, is a switch by Register.com and Network
Solutions to IIS for their "parking pages". Somewhat ironically, thousands of
the sites on Network Solution's new Interland IIS server were defaced shortly
after the move. Register.com are still in the process of moving, so presumably
we'll see another drop in Apache next month.
