The same CPAN that blinds installs the latest version of perl, despite

Installing packages from source used to be a pain in the ass with older
versions of python, put the current system works pretty smoothly most
of the time. You sometimes end up with stuff installed in the wrong
directory, and I've seen that happen with perl too.
