extract from a working css i have on a site



TH.portfolio    {background: Gold; color: navy;text-align : center;}
TH.menu         {background: Gold; color: navy;text-align : center;}
TD.totals 
{background: #CCCCCC;}
TD.activeshadow {background: Black;}


These come after the generic TH setting , and hence inherit.
