I understand the idea for the text-decoration thing. In this case,
though, the test was to see how much optimisation I could do on the
original code without breaking the design. The original design does not
have lines under the links in the OSDN-style header.
I'll be working on a full rewrite of, say, the front page today. Should
have something up later on. My goal is not to change the design in any
major way - I am not a designer, so any "improvements" I make in that
respect would be very suspect.
An added bonus to CSS-style rebuilding is that the menus can be placed
at the bottom of the source, yet displayed where they presently are.
This allows a more accessible reading of the site, and faster loading of
content.
