www.linux.ie will be moving to a nice shiny server on Sunday, if you notice any odd behaviour after then please let the webmaster know so things can be sorted out in a timely fashion.

Alan Cox, "second in command of the Linux Kernel", and all-round smart guy appears in this month's Wired magazine. Adam Beecher scanned in a picture of Alan from the magazine and made it available for the rest of us!

Just after we mentioned LVM, Paul posted another mail correcting himself on a version number typo, and today a new version of LVM appeared on Freshmeat

The hints page on The Linux From Scratch site has some useful info on all sorts of stuff, ie installing gnome, grub, device files etc. Thanks to Eoin Kelly for the link.
