Mod_gzip is a module for Apache that can compress web content before sending to the browser thus resulting in dramatically reduced page sizes.
We have a tutorial on getting it working.

ComputerScope published a 'Essential Guide' to Irish User Groups. This is the guide to the Irish Linux Users' Group which was published in October 1999.

Linux on TV3

TV3 will feature Linux on their Agenda program. This has already created quite a stir on the ILUG mailing list and will have guests from Microsoft and IBM discussing our favourite operating system.
The show will be broadcast on Sunday afternoon next at 12 noon. It will be repeated at 11:30pm that night too.

CVS runs on many platforms and isn't restricted to just Linux, but I thought this link I got from Camworld deserved a mention. Random CVS Notes is a rambling discourse from a long-time CVS user and well worth a read for all developers.

No more spam! is an article in the latest Linux Gazette on defeating spam using procmail.
