The ILUG would like to publicly deplore the attacks upon the website of the SCO group in the last days. Despite recent press publicity, our community has nothing to gain from these attacks.

Dimonex' MySQL report generator released.

Waterford based Dimonex have MySQL report generator (RG), version 1.21 ready for downloading.
The RG can come as a standalone product or via webmin modules.
The RG has a basic and advanced query builder - giving non SQL individuals the opportunity to build reports. Reports can be scheduled to run at different frequencies.
The RG comes with a report reader (separate module) which allows other users access to read reports. The query builder has the data structure displayed on screen therefore you don't need to memorise table and field layouts.
There is unlimited user access.

Sean Bracken, developer of topup.ie has volunteered to write End User documentation for an Open Source Accounting system called OpenAccounting and is looking for others to assist him.

Irish Free Software Organisation launched

The Irish Free Software Organisation was launched today. The goal of the IFSO is to assist the Free Software community of Ireland through sharing of information and coordination of project work.
