Dan Ravicher, the author of the report recently used by Microsoft to defend Steve Ballmer's comments on Patents covering Linux, has said "Microsoft is up to its usual FUD [fear, uncertainty and doubt]" and further "The market needs to understand that the study Microsoft is citing actually proves the opposite of what they claim it does".

Ciaran Mulloy reported to the ILUG mailing list today with a response he received from the Revenue service regarding support for Unix/Linux. While no assurances are given, Linux support may be in place by April.

The ILUG AGM 2004 took place on Saturday 16th October. There was a solid turn out to hear the news, keep the mailing list open and choose the new committee.
