Terminating IBM's AIX licence wasn't enough for the SCO Group on Monday. The company has asked for a permanent injunction blocking IBM from shipping AIX.

Microsoft on Wednesday lost its bid to keep the German city of Munich a Windows customer. The Munich City Council on Wednesday announced that it has decided to deploy the Linux open-source operating system and will migrate its 14,000 desktop and notebook computers away from Windows products to Linux.

Novell Inc. today forcefully joined the tumult surrounding Unix and Linux by challenging The SCO Group Inc. to essentially put up or shut up over its allegations that some of SCO's Unix code has illegally made its way into Linux.
