Finnish Music Exec Laughable Posted By Paul O'Malley - 08:16, 25 September 2005
You will have DRM or go and buy yourself a CD player. At least that is the opinion of a Finnish music executive. I wonder what will happen to all these nice people when there is a backlash of several percentage points by the Linux and Mac using chunk of society.

In the not really not really in the news section Posted By Paul O'Malley - 18:50, 21 August 2005
Ubuntu, that distro that has taken the Linux world by storm in the last year has reached a 'testing milestone' on the way to its October release of the third edition 'Breezy Badger'. Colony-3 is the name of this test version. If you want to try it out burn the live CD version. It is several steps ahead of hoary, but like all betas has a little way to go yet. Have a look, you know you want to :).
Say Yes With Linux Posted By Paul O'Malley - 18:45, 21 August 2005
Shock, shock, horror, horror, - well actually not. I was browsing the names of distros, as I do not have a life and I came across one with the name YES, which actually stands for Your E Sale, an internet presence for what the developer calls 'mom and pop' stores. I put it here for the headline. :)
TCO is just plain silly Posted By Paul O'Malley - 11:39, 21 August 2005 Edited by Paul O'Malley - 11:39, 21 August 2005
In his Editor's Note: How Not to Define Linux Brian Proffitt Managing Editor of linuxtoday.com proves exactly how little TCO counts. So the phrase should be consigned to the bin. Now how about all those reports that 'measured' it in some independent way for Microsoft. Maybe we should give their authors a minor shout 'Oy your looking in the wrong place'. The basic argument is small or large measurements even across industry segments can't measure TCO. The reason cited is that no two companies get benefit in the same way.
For what its worth I'm with the guy.
