I eventually subscribed to LJ (from the States) after working out that the UK based company which was listed as a distributor for LJ was in fact a wholesale distributor. From talking to the people at LJ, they were getting a bit pissed off with their UK distributors not actually distributing the magazine. I know that many people on the list are already subscribed anyway, but are there many out there who would be interested in subscribing if my (currently non-magazine-importing) company was to start importing it ? Any other Linux magazines which are available elsewhere which people might like to see imported ?
I know that the group itself didn't want to become a commercial organisation when this issue was discussed before.
So - any non-subscribers to LJ (or subscription renewal people) out there who might be interested in subscribing ? Any other magazines people would like to see imported ?
On the subject of 2600 distributors - Tower is the only one which I know of. Even then they missed the one before last. I was in there last week and they had loads of the current one - like about 80 or so. I guess this means the market for such content is pretty good here. Anyone know what if there is a 2600 meeting in Dublin ? I think there used to be.
Cheers,
David
