Re: [ILUG] libc.so.4...where is it?

[libc.so.4]
That is a REALLY old C library. These days people are moving from libc5
(RedHat 4) to libc6 (RedHat 5) and beyond (RedHat 5.9). libc4 is what
came before and it's known as 'a.out'. Install the aout-libs RPM package
   from your RedHat CD.

I thought it looked old...a.out was an old friend once :-) but my C
programming days are long past, and I had no idea they'd actually
changed the _names_ of the libraries (ie there is no such animal as
libc.so.5 or libc.so.6 for some weird reason).

Thanks, it worked fine...now to find out why James is distributing
such an antique binary, and maybe see if I can compile a new one.
